Why these questions
- Group size removes games that need a fixed number of players, like Las Vegas (four) or nines (three).
- Ability gap matters because some games let handicap strokes even things out and others reward the best player.
- Arithmetic is what ends friendships on the seventeenth tee. Light games are easy to keep on a card.
- Attention separates games you play quietly from games with a decision on every hole.
The longer version is in how to choose a golf betting game for your group. Hole19Tally is a scorekeeper. It records scores, works out strokes and shows who owes whom, but it never holds, moves or takes a share of money, and it is not a gambling service. Players settle up directly with each other.
Frequently asked questions
How does the picker choose?
Each game has a simple profile: how many players it takes, how well handicap strokes keep a mixed group even, how much arithmetic it needs and how much attention it asks for on each hole. Your four answers are matched against those profiles. It is a starting point, not a rule.
Does it store my answers?
No. It runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.
What if my group is bigger than four?
Choose five or more. Games such as skins, Stableford and quota scale to any group size, and bigger groups can split into two matches.
Is Hole19Tally a betting app?
