Golf betting games explained

Fifteen games golfers play together, each with the rules, the options groups argue about, a worked hole with numbers and the questions that come up on the first tee.

Hole19Tally is a scorekeeper. It records scores, works out strokes and shows who owes whom, but it never holds, moves or takes a share of money, and it is not a gambling service. Players settle up directly with each other.

How to choose a game

Every game takes its handicap strokes from the same rules, explained in how handicap strokes work in match play and how golf handicaps work in group games. To see what a game can cost before you tee off, try the Nassau press calculator. The formula for the most you can lose in every game is on how the numbers are worked out. Look a word up in the glossary.
